I think timing is everything and I am not someone who will wait hours to eat anything. My family and I went on a Thursday evening around 5:30. We waited maybe 5 minutes and got a table. It starts to really pick up after that time. The atmosphere is lively. It's very open air, kind of like being at the beach, and their branding is just so good. The menu is in Spanish, so either prepare ahead of time or be prepared to take extra time if you don't understand. It's also a QR Code, so that gets a bit tricky depending on your wi-fi situation. This was the best meal we had in Mexico, and I wasn't even really up for it or hungry enough to take advantage of everything. The shrimp taco is just so perfectly executed and the flavor combination is like no other. The grilled shrimp are phenomenal. My son killed the oyster plate, and they give you a little complimentary snack that my son and husband loved. I think the seafood tower is maybe their only kind of viral hype item that might be a miss. I'm glad we skipped it, and would recommend doing the same, but everything else was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend, but plan accordingly because everything is less tasty if you've waited 2 hours for it.

pop ur name down at 11am stroll around - come 12pm they’ll get thru the first 30 parties or so! then an hour wait for everyone after that. comes w a great cuppa soup! plus we’re fans of raw seafood so aguachiles, oysters and the clams are a must. AH the CLAMS! sweet, crunchy, and vibrant - when we asked they were sold out then they received more! the charcoal camarones are so good! they cook them at back and the ambiance is great, love to see the waiters sing along to the songs playing in the background it was a lively and great vibe!

Highly recommend reservations- not easy to get into. Long lines and always busy. And it lives up to the hype! We opted for the outside tables instead of the indoor. We had a spectacular late lunch. Great cocktails and drinks. Every single fish dish was insanely fresh and good. The grilled shrimp are soooo good, you will keep ordering them - we did! Our second favorite was aguachate; fish in green sauce and cucumbers and sliced red onion strings. We could have drank that green sauce. We shared all the dishes, and worked well - we were able to try more dishes that way and still be satisfied. This is a seafood lovers paradise! Would go again and it’s on my re-play list for Mexico City! Thank you for great food and service - what a stellar experience!

All the seafood was delicious. It’s a very local feeling spot and there’s a wonderful casualness to it. My daughter loved the fish nuggets that they offer as a kids meal. We really enjoyed all the seafood and have plans to come back! We came back the following weekend to try other dishes. We really liked the fish birria and tuna tostada.

Good place for seafood. I recommend the oyster taco, tuna tostada, and seafood stew. The giant scallops were just ok. The ube colada was super sweet. They accidentally gave us another table's order and then charged us for it. We were fine paying but felt that they should have at least apologized but they pretended like they didn't mess up and just added it to our bill so that was a bit shady.

I had been hearing about Mi Compa Chava for a long time and finally got the chance to visit during my latest trip to Mexico City. It absolutely lived up to the hype! The food was excellent, and the service was just as impressive. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with a lot of care. The staff was attentive and made the experience even better. My only complaint is that the menu doesn’t clearly indicate the spice level of some dishes. A few of the items we ordered turned out to be much spicier than expected, and I couldn’t find any warning or spice indicator on the menu. If you’re sensitive to spicy food, I’d recommend asking your server before ordering. Overall, a fantastic dining experience and definitely worth the visit. I’ll be back!

Chencho was our server, he was exceptional! Very kind, helpful and attentive. He anticipated our needs as we were eating and kept a great pace of the dishes coming out. The wait was a bit long, but there was zero doubt that it was worth the wait. From the tostadas, to the ceviche, to the grilled octopus every thing was spectacular and our server just made it that much better. Muy amable Chencho y muchísimas gracias!
