Our visit to the beautiful city square was amazing, so we stopped at this amazing restaurant with impeccable staff, well Known Award winning female Chef, and they treated us like family!

Came here for a reunion with the family. Took around 15 to 20 minutes to get me a table for 11 (on the 15th of September!) people without reservation which I didn’t expect to be possible, therefore already a big thank you. Food was delicious and they keep surprising me every time I come. 5 stars for the food. The pulpo, wauw, super tasty dish ! I would recommend the mix of moles ! I strongly recommend this place in general.

Located in the heart of Guanajuato, Casa Valadez is a gem hiding in plain sight. Even on a busy Sunday afternoon with no reservation, we were seated within minutes—already a pleasant surprise. We were fortunate enough to get a window table with a perfect view of the iconic Teatro Juárez. What a treat! The moment I tasted their tortilla soup, I was transported back in time. I first tried it twenty-five years ago, and with the very first spoonful, memories flooded back. It is still just as rich, comforting, and absolutely worth trying. Our party of three ordered the Menú del Día for only 300 pesos, which included an entrée, a first and second course, and a choice of coffee or dessert. Oh my goodness—the quality was outstanding. From the careful presentation of every dish, to the exceptional flavor, spotless restrooms, gracious staff, and unbeatable location, Casa Valadez easily earns five stars from me. If you’re visiting Guanajuato, this restaurant is a must. Bonus: Their wine selection is surprisingly extensive!

Casa Valadez is a fantastic spot right in the heart of Guanajuato’s historic centre. The food is excellent, whether you’re stopping in for breakfast or lunch. I had the tamal colado, and it was absolutely spectacular — easily one of the best tamales I’ve had in my life. The enchiladas mineras, a regional classic, are also a must-try. One thing that really sets Casa Valadez apart is that they bake all of their bread in-house. As soon as you sit down, you’re served a basket with a variety of freshly baked breads, all delicious. My favourite was the panqué de elote, which was outstanding. Great food, beautiful location, and a true taste of Guanajuato. Highly recommended. The steak was served on a sizzling hot plate and it was perfectly done.Shrimp Gratin was mouth watering! The shrimps were juicy and fresh. Service was excellent, super attentive … food is great. The chicken breast, baked with Parmesan was not bad. We ordered Tiramisu and another dessert( corn bread with sweet condensed milk)… our opinion, the tiramisu was dry… the other dessert was not great. Perhaps we ordered the wrong things.
